K9 Friends

I never felt comfortable about putting my dog in the strange environment of boarding kennels. There was something about all those bars, cages, the endless barking and the sleepless nights for the dogs. Outdoor accommodation, even heated, would never be as cosy as my house, with so little individual attention and few walks if any. So as a result my own dog Gromit has escaped the stressful feelings of such an experience. Imposing on family and friends is not always the best option either.

An alternative to all this which I now provide myself, is Home Boarding. This is where your dog comes to stay with a dog loving family or single person, in this case myself! Your dog will come to stay with me and is treated like a member on my family for the duration of his/her stay. This is very much a home from home environment where your dog will most likely sleep in my lounge, bed room or utility depending on his or her preference. Your dog will get individual love, attention, cuddles and care and walked at least twice a day, for an hour at a time. Outwith that time it can play in the garden with other dogs as long as the weather permits and they are happy to do so. If they prefer a quieter life they can come in and cuddle up while I work on my computer.

I am currently studying canine behaviour and psychology which keeps me busy. I am always around and the dogs are never left on their own for very long if at all. There is always somebody here if I have to go out. It really is like a holiday for your dog here. If your having a holiday why shouldn’t your best friend have one two!
